With like-minded people

REDDIT is where the Internet comes together to share, discuss, freak out and fangirl. I’ve only been on Reddit for the better part of the last two years, and I could not even begin to describe to you what I’ve seen and read. A lot of people think that Reddit is only really for the elite Internet users; to an extent I agree. Its home page is not very user-friendly, and you do need to work on understanding the comments. But once you crack that, you will never want to look back.
It’s also a great community for people with similar interests. It doesn’t matter how diverse your interests are, I’m fairly sure that there is a subreddit for you. Case in point, I am subscribed to both the r/crochet and r/xxketo for everything on a ketogenic diet. This week, lose yourself in a whirl of cats, Jennifer Lawrence photo manips and the best set of jive speakers this side of Snoo the Reddit alien. These three apps are clients mainly for iOS, but they are available on Android as well.

Easy to use: The UI certainly looks quite clean and sleek, but in order to navigate this, you need to know what you’re looking for. It’s not very easy to figure out if you’re just wanting to have a poke around.
Overall comment: I had high hopes for this one, because it’s been recommended by AppCrawlr. While it’s true, that it does make the Reddit experience a little more accessible, I think this needs to be made simpler for newbies to explore subreddits. The “front page” is decent enough, but it doesn’t offer much else. I also think this could be easier to use, especially for older users. A good solid ‘meh’ for this one; two clicks out of five.

Easy to use: Much easier to use than RedditNode, but not very pretty to look at. However, I do appreciate that unlike the web version of Reddit, amrc loads picture posts right on top of the comments so you don’t need to open up a new tab just to view the picture. Very handy for subreddits like r/ladyboners.
Overall comment: I like this one very much, because it keeps the whole experience straight and to the point. It doesn’t win any stars for being attractive, but why go for looks when you can have something that works so efficiently? A lot of the features are under the ‘Pro’ version, like the shortcuts and the comments feature, so this is really just good for reading. Three clicks out of five.

Easy to use: I’m on the fence about this one. Yes, it’s very pretty and it makes viewing and reading the posts very easy. However, I’m not always sure if I’m in the subreddit itself or just reading posts that are related to what I typed in the search box. But apart from that, it’s very well done.
Overall comment: One thing I will say though, is that reading linked news articles is a snap on this one. It keeps all of it local, so your device doesn’t open the article on another app. Very handy if you’re browsing multiple posts on a single news story or a topic. I also like how it handles picture posts, segregating the main post from the comments. Pretty good! Four clicks out of five.
