Active covid cases in Pampanga down to 111

THE total number of active coronavirus cases in Pampanga has come down to 111 cases with a downward trend in cases seen in the coming days, according to the official Department of Health coronavirus tracker.

Only three new active cases were recorded on Christmas Day. This brought the total number of confirmed cases since the start of the pandemic to 69,070 cases for Pampanga, including Angeles City. Total recoveries rose to 67,217.

Only 18 cases were recorded in Pampanga in the last 14 days, while Angeles City only recorded seven new cases in the same period.

Deaths since the start of the pandemic was at 1, 742 cases.

Bed occupancy in the 47 health facilities in Pampanga has come decreased to 5.1 percent, one of the lowest in 2021. This meant that only 55 of the 1,070 hospital beds in the province were occupied.

Most hospitals in the province are no longer stretched in dealing with coronavirus cases due to the dwindling number of new cases.
