BUDGET airline Cebu Pacific (CEB) has canceled several flights between Cebu and Manila from December 24 to 31, 2021, due to airport operational limitations in the aftermath of Super Typhoon Odette (Rai).
In a flight advisory Wednesday, December 22, CEB said it canceled most of its flights between Cebu to Manila due to operational limitations at the Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA).
MCIA has resumed operations but still caters to limited domestic flights.
The following flights have been canceled:
5J 559 / 5J 560 Manila – Cebu – Manila
5J 561 / 5J 562 Manila – Cebu – Manila
5J 563 / 5J 564 Manila – Cebu – Manila
5J 565 / 5J 566 Manila – Cebu – Manila
5J 567 / 5J 568 Manila – Cebu – Manila
5J 575 / 5J 576 Manila – Cebu – Manila
5J 581 / 5J 582 Manila – Cebu – Manila
5J 583 Manila – Cebu (except December 31, 2021)
5J 584 Cebu – Manila (except December 24, 2021)
The carrier said affected passengers are being informed and are assured of options to rebook, refund or place their booking in a travel fund.
Other domestic flights in and out of Cebu not mentioned will still operate as scheduled. CEB, however, is offering flexible options to those who wish to postpone their trips until December 30.
“The safety of our passengers and crew in affected areas remains our topmost priority. Thank you for your patience and understanding,” CEB said.
