Leave your morals at the door
THERE is a place in Cebu “where art meets alcohol.” A place designed by world-renowned furniture designer and Cebu’s very own Kenneth Cobonpue, partnered with three other well-travelled gentlemen with superb taste, Paco Rodriguez, Michael Yu, and Glenn Socco, this premiere lounge and bar puts the spotlight to craft coffee, coffee cocktails, and craft cocktails.
Morals and Malice is located in Banilad, at the second floor of Tinderbox. Morals is a garden-inspired lounge with real plants and trees. Their all-day brunch menu, craft coffe, smoothies, and delicious desserts can be enjoyed from 10am to 10pm. Great ambience! The place is an art installation in itself.
Try the Pumped Spiced Latte, crafted white pumpkin rum with pinoy coffee liqueur and steamed milk topped with whipped cream and a dash of cinnamon.
Sounds yummy, yes? Now pair it with a slice of their delicious Chocoholics, a fudge cake that happens to be wheat free and covered in Hershey’s chocolate butter cream frosting.
I can’t seem to get over the Crema de Manga, this is their morally inspired smoothie with fresh Cebu mango, oatmeal cookies, and cream cheese! It’s rich and thick and quite filling. I’m definitely having this again!
Unfortunately, I only had time for some Morals that afternoon, since I had to go to a meeting. Looking forward to leave my morals at the door and walk into a room of Malice – that is a night of craft cocktails, awesome music, and world-class ambience — the perfect recipe that guarantees a naughty, malicious night!
