Marco Polo Plaza opens newly renovated ballroom
BIGGER possibilities are up at Marco Polo Plaza as it opens the doors of their newly renovated Cebu Grand Ballroom for your celebrations and events. It opened in time for APEC 2015, the delegates being the first ones to experience the upgraded ballroom.
From its original size of 756 square meters with the capability to accommodate 500 guests on a banquet set-up, it is now 1,099.6 square meters with the ability to accommodate up to 800 guests. It can also be divided in three different ways, making it a more flexible venue for different kinds of events.
“Cebu is a top destination in the Philippines. We upgraded the Grand Ballroom because the MICE market for regional, national and even international groups is growing fast. The need for a bigger venue is there and management wanted to address that,” said Julie Najar, the hotel’s General Manager.
Aside from making the ballroom bigger, Marco Polo Plaza also upgraded their audio-visual technical equipment. Acquired from different parts of the world such as China, Italy, USA, Germany and Japan, these equipment are guaranteed to suit international standards.
The launching held last Oct. 10 was attended by CIRC Chairman Mr. Alfred Ty, CIRC Vice Chairman Mr. Pascual Garcia, BLRDC President Mr. Hans Hauri, FMIC Chairman Mr. Franciso Sebastian, Vice President for Operations of Marco Polo Hotels Mr. Philip Caretti, friends from the media and valued clients.
Ever since Marco Polo Plaza opened in 2006, the Cebu Grand Ballroom has been of service to about 800 brides, 600 birthday celebrants, and 1,700 corporate events. The Cebu Grand Ballroom has been and continues to be, one of Cebu’s most prestigious venues to hold functions and celebrations. (PR)
