Prestige Modelling Agency launches new talents

CEBUANOS were treated to a debut of models and a showcase of celebrated designers during the Passion for Fashion runway show held recently at the Activity Center of Ayala Center Cebu. The fashion show was the culmination of a four-day modeling workshop hosted by the agency.

Fresh faces strutted the runway donning stunning creations of Cebu’s budding designers. In attendance were a mix of fashion enthusiasts, photographers, and corporate guests looking to book new talents for their next project.

Opening the show was Hanz Conquilla’s ocean-inspired collection. His creations featured a seamless fusion of materials made from all natural wool, denim and Japanese shirting materials. Meanwhile, Edward Castro’s utilitarian philosophy in design incorporated maximum function with fashionable flair. The collection exuded a practical edge that women-on-the-go would gravitate to.

Jerrick Macasocol, Rio Pria, and Federico Navarro’s collections were inspired by the alluring prowess of a modern woman while Yorena Tabar’s collection was a tribute to the classic aura of the iconic Audrey Hepburn.

Highlighting the event was Miss International 2013 Bea Rose Santiago who graced the catwalk in a classic John Ablaza creation, whose red gown displayed a variety of stunning lines and fluid designs. Inspired by the country’s rich culture and natural resources, John Ablaza’s awe-inspiring collections have hit the runways of Hong Kong, Singapore, London, Bahrain, Sydney and Toronto. Santiago was also one of the mentors and resource speakers during the modeling workshop held days prior to the fashion show.

Prestige Modelling Agency chief operating officer Arnold Echevarria Jr. shared the excitement of revealing their new talents. He said, “The event was a great end to an intensive workshop, and yet it signals a promising start of Cebu’s flourishing fashion scene.”
