Backed by the car brand’s 80-year experience in pick-up truck manufacturing, the 2015 Nissan NP300 Navara boasts of new features that address the demand for driving comfort, on top of durability and practical performance. It is targeted to active individuals whose lifestyles delve in both taking passengers and transporting cargo, who traverse between uneven terrains and smooth thoroughfares.

Manufactured in Nissan’s global plant in Thailand, the NP300 Navara is sold in over 180 countries. NCDI executives revealed at the launch that the Philippines is the second country where it is introduced, since it carries a remarkable following for both personal and commercial use. Although carrying new features, the new model is said to have a lower standard retail price as compared to its predecessor.

DYNAMISM, DURABILITY. The all-new Navara makes a strong first impression with its dynamic convex and concave surfaces. More features that enhance dynamics and torsional stiffness for durability, among others, make the Navara worth checking out.

Tougher body, smarter features

Two words were highlighted at the launch, and those were tough and smart, as the newest member of Nissan’s roster embodies both. Its dynamic convex and concave surfaces, coupled with rear spoiler are for enhanced dynamics, and underneath its robust frame is a full-length, fully boxed ladder frame that adds torsional stiffness for durability.

Its chassis is armed with rigid five-link coil suspension with stabilizer bars for smooth drives. It also has a reduced minimum turning radius of 6.2mm for swifter maneuverability. Although the new model carries the same 2.5-liter diesel engine, it has stronger output with maximum power of 3,600 rpm and torque of 2,000 rpm.

Another new feature is its NASA-inspired zero gravity seats that claim to reduce fatigue by distributing body pressure on the seat. It also has a “smart cockpit” that displays nifty cruise control features, a monitor for the rear camera and audio controls. The audio system enables CD and mp3 playback and Bluetooth connectivity. Safety-wise, it is equipped with an anti-lock brake system, electronic brake force distribution technology, brake assist, hill-descent control, hill-start assist, and traction control system, among others.

A suitable companion, be it for leisurely drives or mountain treks, the 2015 NP300 Navara is another road superstar to watch out for. It comes in 4×4 and 4×2 variants, and transmission types of 7-Speed AT with manual mode and 6-Speed MT. It is available in Savanna Orange, Galaxy Black, Brilliant Silver and Alpine White colors.

The local showroom is located on M. L. Quezon Ave., Maguikay, Mandaue City.
