THE young, the stylish and the vivacious, converged last May 23 for Aéro Jam, a fashion-meets-music event to officially launch American retail giant, Aéropostale in Cebu. Exclusively distributed in the Philippines by Stores Specialists, Inc. (SSI), Aéropostale celebrated the opening of its first store outside Manila and sixth in the country with bursts of color, loads of energy and heaps of fun.
The Gallery of the Ayala Center Cebu was transformed into a vibrant outdoor New York scene where guests milled about and lounged on a carpet of grass in multihued bean bags while enjoying delectable All American food treats, free flowing Stolichnaya vodka from Ralph’s Wines and Spirits, classic root beer floats and sparkling ear candy from Manila DJ Nix Damn P who set the mood early with his pulsating house beats.
The SSI team was in full force led by executive vice President Anton Huang who shared “Aéropostale has become one of the fastest growing and most recognized specialty retailers of casual apparel and accessories for the young, trendy teens and we are delighted to be bringing this brand and, for the first time, its new concept store to the discerning youth of Cebu.
Cebuanos live both an active and relaxed lifestyle and the classic and casual pieces of the brand sync perfectly with that way of life.”
Highlighting the event was the introduction of the Aéropostale Style League – a group of well-rounded, young individuals in their teens and early twenties who exude the Aéro lifestyle and exemplify the sense of adventure, achievement and dedication the brand is known for — in a fashion show featuring the brand’s Spring Summer 2014 collection.
The Cebu Style League is composed of Alyssa Sacal, Gabi Woolbright Darza, Illeana Osmeña, Jana Pages, Katalin Ugarte, Nicole Li, Nikki Tilka, Phoebe Smith, Reona Ido, David Lim Jr, James Lotzof, Jette Calderon, JT Gullas, Julian Cobonpue, Kenzo Canizares, Marcko Durano, Mikkel Neri and Tom Booth.
