THE Police Regional Office (PRO)-Central Luzon is sending assistance to the victims of Typhoon Odette in Cebu.

PRO-Central Luzon Director Brigadier General Matthew Baccay said three trucks loaded with tons of relief goods have already been dispatched on Monday night, December 20, 2021.

Prior to dispatch, a send-off ceremony, including the blessing of the troops and mobility, was held at the PRO-Central Luzon Parade Ground, Camp Olivas in the City of San Fernando.

Baccay, who led the send-off ceremony of troops and mobility prior to dispatch, said the humanitarian drive is an immediate response to the call of Philippine National Police Chief Dionard Carlos to help fellow Filipinos especially in times of crisis.

“The Central Luzon police, together with our stakeholders, recognize the crucial need of providing assistance to our kababayans who greatly suffered from severe flooding brought about by the typhoon, this is the best time to extend our help and our provision of services to needy communities is expected,” he said.

He added that over 1,000 relief packs will be distributed to families most hit by the natural calamity, which were packed by PRO-Central Luzon personnel early Monday morning.

Baccay also urged the public to make the spirit of Christmas felt even and most especially to the typhoon victims by sharing what they can.

“Every member of the society should join hands and do the best we can to help those in need. Let the Bayanihan spirit live among us especially this time of crisis,” he said.
