6 dead in minibus, trike collision in Lubao town

SIX people were reported dead while several people were injured when a minibus ran in collision with a tricycle in Lubao town, Pampanga on Sunday afternoon, December 26, 2021.

Initial investigation revealed that three tricycle passengers and two people waiting on the road died during the incident. A conductor was also reportedly among the casualties.

The minibus was traveling along Jose Abad Santos Avenue in Barangay San Isidro, Lubao when it plowed into the tricycle and kolong-kolong around 4 p.m.

The Lubao section of the Jose Abad Santos Avenue has seen many gruesome accidents in recent years.

Just last year, before the start of 2021, a vehicular accident also left seven people dead and injured seven others, including the drivers of the jeepney and the truck which figured in the mishap.
