OLX brings the “Yesss, Yaman!” movement to Cebu
ARE you ready to say “Yesss, Yaman!”? Then get ready because OLX.ph—formerly Sulit.com.ph—brings the “Yesss, Yaman!” movement to Cebu. OLX.ph launched its Cebu hub last May 21 at the Cebu Grand Convention Center—an event attended by local media and the newly formed OLX Cebu team.
Sulit.com.ph was started by couple RJ and Arianne David in September 2006 with a starting capital of only P2,400, which they used to buy the domain name and hosting fees. The venture proved to be quite successful because in 2004, it was acquired by the OLX network—one of the global leaders of online classifieds.
The OLX.ph website is free and open for all, and recently it also launched the OLX mobile application in Google Play—making it easier to create transactions with dealers nationwide. (Chelzee Salera and Abegail Kionisala, UP Cebu Interns)
