Ganuelas-Rosser signs with TNT Tropang Giga

VERSATILE forward Matt Ganuelas-Rosser is back with the franchise that helped give him his break in the professional league, TNT, as he signed with the Tropang Giga on Jan. 21, 2022.

An unrestricted free agent after declining to extend his contract with Terrafirma, the 31-year-old chose to go back to the flagship squad of the MVP group, bolstering the team’s wing rotation that is currently headed by Cebuano Roger Pogoy.

Rosser originally spent several years with TNT after he was traded there by NLEX, which selected him with the fourth pick of the 2014 PBA Draft. He already has five championships, including one with TNT during his rookie year. He has also played for the Gilas Pilipinas national team.

He is the third player from his draft class to leave their mother team, choose unrestricted free agency, and go to teams that are under the two big blocks of the league—the SMC group and the MVP group. Rodney Brondial was the first, leaving Alaska and going to San Miguel. Then, point guard Nards Pinto left Meralco and signed with Ginebra.
