Pampanga logs 8,026 active Covid-19 cases

THE total number of active coronavirus cases in Pampanga has risen to 8,206, with some 1,372 new cases recorded Friday, January 21, 2022.

The Department of Health (DOH) official coronavirus tracker placed the total number of confirmed cases in Pampanga since the start of the pandemic to 81,116 cases, with 71,332 recoveries.

Coronavirus-related deaths in Pampanga reached 1,758 cases, according to the DOH.

Pampanga reported some 7,444 coronavirus cases in the last 14 days. While Angeles City reported some 1,792 cases for the same period.

A total of 14 people also died due to Covid-19 in the entire province in the last 14 days.

Majority of the 47 health facilities in the province have been experiencing an increase in the number of bed occupancies. The rate of occupancy in the region is currently at 44.2 percent, slightly lower than in previous days.

This meant that only 743 of the total 1,363 hospital beds in Pampanga were available.

Three health facilities were also at high-risk levels. The province had one health facility in the critical category.
