Penro-Pampanga donates 500 chairs to DepEd

THE rovincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (Penro)-Pampanga led the donation of 500 wooden chairs to the Department of Education (DepEd) early this week.

The donations were received by the Schools Division Office of Pampanga with the chairs bound for four beneficiary schools.

Present during the event were Schools Division Superintendent Melissa S. Sanchez and principals of the four beneficiary schools namely Argie Simbillo, Leona Cruz, Vilma Villanueva and Marites Parico.

“Just in time for Christmas, this will be a great present. This will also be a big help for us as pilot face-to-face classes will be held soon,” Sanchez said.

Regional Executive Director of DENR-Central Luzon Engineer Paquito T. Moreno, Jr. said the donations will be helpful tools in making students realize the importance of trees in the environment. The materials for the chairs came from turned-over logs which were converted into chairs.

Penro-Pampanga head Laudemir S. Salac pledged further partnership with DepEd and support them with their environmental activities.

The chairs were fabricated by AC Mangio Services and Dimarucut Wood Works free of charge in support to this cause of Penro Pampanga.
