Find a job you love.

Love what you do and you will always be happy. Finding a job that you know you will love and stick with is no easy feat. But when you do, you will never have to work a day in your life. Working equals earning, so unless you want to hop from one job to another, choose a job you’re passionate about.

Don’t be afraid to reach for short-term goals.

Setting some short-term goals at your age is the most ideal plan to bring you steps closer to a bigger dream. You’re young and financially capable to travel to a country of your choice, so invest in seeing the world for now and worry about the more “serious” goals later.

It’s important to save for the future, but don’t deprive yourself of happiness.

Imagine working selflessly and obsessing over saving at the same time. These alone bring too much stress and pressure on your part, so give yourself a break from time to time and allow yourself to reap the fruits of your hard work. Don’t deposit all of your earnings in the bank, instead, spare a portion for your happiness too, no matter what form they may take.

Never have second thoughts on spending money for something that you’ve always wanted.

An impulse decision can sometimes, if not always work to your advantage. You wouldn’t want to miss an opportunity that you can grab without hesitation. We’re all too familiar with the feeling of regret, right? Never hang back on visiting your dream destination or attending your favorite artist’s concert because money will return but time will not.

Remember to prioritize yourself first before anything else.

You alone can set your life to the right direction and no one else can ever dictate who you want to be. You must learn to prioritize yourself first because it’s at this point in life that you discover what kind of person you want to be in the future. Never grow weary of going on frequent discovery trips to learn not just about a certain place but about yourself too.
