IT’S almost been a year since my last visit to Singapore, the breathtaking city-state that boasts of its Michelin-worthy cuisine, magnificent and modern architecture, vibrant art, and its diverse and dynamic culture.
Singapore brings its “Passion Made Possible” brand to life by positioning itself as a destination that inspires the traveler to deepen and share their passions. And as the beginning of a new year usually means new possibilities, the Lion City offers new possibilities to explore especially for the returning travelers.
Known also as “Garden City”, Singapore is proud to introduce the Ethnobotany Garden as a new addition to the Botanical Gardens. Split into four zones, the garden offers a unique experience through workshops, hands-on activities and learning journeys that may awaken a new-found appreciation, if not passion, for nature.
For the adrenaline junkies, Airzone, located at the City Square Mall, has the world’s first suspended net playground on top of attractions like exciting mazes, slides, ball pits, Zorb balls, dodge ball and different games and activity zones spread across six floors. Don’t forget to check out AJ Hackett at Sentosa if you’d like to finally give Bungy Jumping a try!
If your passion is food, look no further as Singapore is a wonderland for every foodie. A myriad of delicious cuisine from around the world can be enjoyed in this city whose mature palate is trained to appreciate the simplest dishes to the most sophisticated.
For those passionate about culture, music, and the arts, Singapore is sure to cater to your insatiable thirst. Like the Chingay Parade for example, that is their biggest Lunar Year celebration – a vibrant parade that showcases the colorful ethnic diversity of the country through traditional costumes, street performances, magnificent floats, dragons, dancing, and stilt walkers among so much more.
St. Jerome Laneway Festival is back. This is Singapore’s number one music festival that this year will feature a diverse line-up of indie bands including The Ransom Collective from the Philippines.
Ultra Singapore is also happening this year. Being the world’s premiere electronic music festival, fans from different countries flock at this event which takes place across three stages featuring the best and the freshest DJ’s from all over the world.
And speaking of entertainment, of course your favorite destinations like the Night Safari, Singapore Zoo, River Safari, Jurong Bird Park, Universal Studios, Madame Tussauds, Sentosa and the Skyline Luge are all yours to relive and experience!
So, whatever your passion is, you’re sure to satisfy it and even indulge in it in Singapore.
Don’t forget to check out the Cebu Travel Catalogue from January 26 to 28, 2018 at Robinsons Galleria in Cebu’s largest annual travel fair.
