WOULD you spend P356,000 on a bottle of tequila? Well, if it’s a unique combination of the highest quality Mexican tequila and the finest French crystal that makes for the perfect pair, then the discerning few just might.
In a first-time exclusive collaboration, Patron, Mexico’s ultra-premium tequila distiller, and Lalique, the ultimate symbol of French luxury, have partnered to come up with a one-of-a-kind product that’s stunningly beautiful inside and out, the Patron en Lalique Serie 1. What makes the Patron en Lalique Serie 1 even more special is that it has only 500 units available globally.
Making its way to Cebu in Rustan’s last Aug. 27, the Patron en Lalique Serie 1 is indeed a celebration of artistry and craftsmanship at the highest level. The handmade crystal bottle is individually numbered and comes in a handmade leather display case with gemstone detail.
The crystal decanter itself, with its contrasting clear and frosted crystal finishes, is inspired by Mexico’s indigenous Weber Blue Agave plant from which tequila is made, while the crystal bottle stopper represents the piña.
The tequila, on the other hand, manifests a fine balance: the distinct amber color, the Agave and oak notes, the sweet caramel, honey and vanilla taste, all with a complex, well-balanced finish.
If you wish to admire this fine work of art, Patron en Lalique Serie 1 is on display at Rustan’s Cebu until November. (Text & Photo/NSV)
