Over 20 brands under the Ayala Group of Companies from various industries, such as real estate, hotels and resorts, telecommunications, financial services, and automotives, participated in the Ayala Lifestyle Fair 2015 held from July 30 to Aug. 2.

The fair, which carried the theme “Celebrating Life’s Treasures,” showcased not just the companies but the foundations behind the establishment of each brand, as it aims to build a legacy by offering quality products and services focused on giving a better life for the Filipinos and to the next generations to come.

ABCCI representatives held a press conference at the Cebu City Marriot Hotel last July 23 to talk about the group and its activities, suhc as the fair. The representatives include Philip Araneta of Globe Telecom, Ren Dumalos of Volkswagen Cebu, Sheela Farinas of the Ayala Land Premier, Jinky Balcos and Honeylene Abalo of Amaia, Vera Alejandria of Cebu Holdings Inc. (CHI), Lizette Olitres of Isuzu Cebu, MikMike Corvera of Ayala Mall, Lyn Divinagracia of Honda Cars Cebu, and Wilbert Yu of Bank of the Philippine Islands.

“The Ayala Business Club gathers the different brands or companies of Ayala… We have launched all these projects that will help in the growth and economy of the community,” Charlene Go, PR Manager of Cebu City Marriot Hotel, said during the press conference.

In 1995, Don Jaime Zobel de Ayala thought of bringing sub-companies and sister companies together and of putting chapters in key cities. It was Cebu that responded first, finding it easy for them to meet and plan activities, which later on progressed into initiatives that promote synergy in the group and acknowledge the strengths of every member.

“We still have various events lined up, especially our CSRs (corporate social responsibility projects). And for this, we just wanted to mount an event that will bring all the businesses together,” Go said. (Verona Ann A. Entoma/UP Cebu Mass Comm Intern)
