WATERFRONT Airport Hotel & Casino took part in the global environmental campaign, Earth Hour, last March 28. Lights in major areas of the hotel were switched off, and instead, candles on the table centerpieces illuminated the lobby and Uno Restaurant, where guests took part in the festivity and enjoyed the live music performances. A 30-minute video presentation was also shown, explaining the significance and impact of the campaign.
Spearheaded by hotel manager Benhur Caballes, the event is only one of the ways the hotel gives back to the environment. As part of its corporate social responsibility, the hotel cumulatively saved 598,592.48 kilowatt-hours between 2012 to 2014. (PR)
