Newly renovated Tides opens

SHANGRI-LA’S Mactan Resort & Spa formally opened its newly renovated flagship buffet restaurant, Tides, in a dinner celebration held last Oct. 28. Attended by the resort’s patrons as well as notable personalities in the local community, the event was marked with exciting activities such as an acoustic music performance, complimentary caricatures for selected guests, and live performance art with sand artist Brian Crespa.

General Manager Marco Vazzoler himself had a brief stint in the sand art performance, through which he unveiled the new Tides to a bevy of excited guests. The 372-seater restaurant was instantly filled up, as everyone scurried around, tasting and enjoying the wide array of international cuisines it has to offer. (FSE)
