THIS year’s Best of Cebu event lived up to its name arguably as the best party on the land.

In an evening that celebrated the best that Cebu has to offer, winners of the Best of Cebu 2014 gathered at the Oakridge Pavilion, Cebu’s best function venue, last April 24 and showcased their products and services, which, through thorough deliberation and scrutiny, were deemed Cebu’s finest. And throughout the evening, guests came in droves and packed the venue, moving in continuous streams along the aisles from one remarkable booth to another.

Over 50 exhibitors joined in the party, ranging from dining establishments and hotels, to malls, spa centers and automotive shops. Establishments in the food category provided free tasting of their award-winning pieces, while those in the services category also gave a preview of what they offer. A car exhibition courtesy of Group B Motor Works was also staged at the venue’s car port — an entrancing welcome to the guests who went and joined in the fun.

The Best of Cebu 2014 party was hosted by Jiggy Jr. of Y101 and Nini Neri, while tunes were provided by DJ Nishh of LIV Super Club, adjudged as the best club. Cebu’s best yoga studio, Yogahub, also performed an exhibition on stage, including acroyoga, a synchrony of acrobatics and yoga. Another of the program’s highlights was an electrifying dance performance by Don Juan, the 2nd runner-up for Sun.Star Bisdak’s Bangga sa Sayaw competition and the reigning Sinulog Best Dance Crew.

The evening was capped off with exciting raffle draws for the guests, with prices such as a trip to Singapore, an iPad Mini and gift certificates from the winning establishments.

Indeed it was one memorable event — awesome in a most exceptional way — where guests came to see, taste and experience the best that Cebu has to offer. (With FSE)
