MYtv inaugurates new studio

CEBU’S only local cable channel MYtv inaugurated its newest office and studios now located on the fourth floor of JY Square Mall last Sept. 8. The event gathered MYtv executives and staff, as well as patrons who have been supporting the channel since day one.

The inauguration kicked off with a Eucharistic celebration led by Msgr. Roberto Alesna, followed by the traditional ribbon-cutting and blessing. Shortly after were speeches by Bobit Avila, the channel’s managing director and executive producer, and Noel Arandilla, president of its mother company, International Marketing Group (IMG).

Formerly known as Wealth Channel TV, the channel was started by IMG presidents Noel Arandilla and Joen de las Peñas initially as avenue for them to spread their advocacy of financial literacy.

From a channel that was purely all about finance infomercials and related shows, it has since grown and re-branded into MYtv, which now caters to a variety of topics including current affairs, catechism, food, travel, pets, tech, social events and many more. MYtv broadcasts on channel 30 in SkyCable in Cebu. (FSE)
