Hive food? Oh, behave!

THE newest hive for food savants, Treat Street Café, opened at the Ayala Center Cebu expansion wing last month. Behind this new food station is Trina Ang Kokseng who is known for her expertise in cakes and pastries.

Among its bestsellers are the Spicy Lechon Pie, which unlike the traditional meat pie, is seasoned with a secret blend of spices that easily appease the local palate. Another is the Treat Street Pie, chocolate cake made with cookie crust, with layers of fudge, caramel and walnut, topped with whipped cream.

The ambiance of the Treat Street Café kiosk is a playful mix of classic and cool. Kokseng said, “It’s a place where people can go for dessert or for an afternoon snacks, where they can enjoy good coffee and delectable cakes and pastries.” (Charlyn Uy Pepito, USJ-R Mass Comm Intern)
