We’re well into the hottest season of the year which means the weather is getting warmer by the minute. We may be burning in the scorching heat, but it doesn’t hurt to look stylish while we’re at it. Summer dressing is all about blooms and blossoms this year, making floral prints the go-to fashion for this time of year. There’s a floral print for everyone and here’s how men and women can rock the trend in the summertime.

Short-sleeved polo shirts

The palm frond and fern are blooming in the fashion garden this season and they make the strongest Hawaiian print. You can never go wrong with the basics if you’re looking into just one floral piece for the summer. A short-sleeved Hawaiian shirt in your favorite color is the easiest pick. While choosing the perfect print and color is an effortless task, finding the ideal fit can be a bit of a challenge. Just remember to handpick the shirt that sits naturally across the chest and never too tight or loose on the arms.

Tailored suits

There’s a trend for every season and sunny days call for floral tailoring. There’s no better time to get your suit done with a floral pattern than on a season when your fit matches the weather well. A floral suit is a fun and vibrant alternative to a two-piece party ensemble that adds an extra summer vibe after it’s layered with a neutral shirt and finished with leather brogues.

For men who are a little bloom shy but still want to incorporate flowers into their summer outfit, accessorizing is key. Floral neckerchiefs make the best statement accessory for they are lightweight and can be easily styled with muted pieces.

Printed skirt

A touch of floral details can make the biggest difference. Pairing a plain top with a maxi skirt that’s adorned with colorful flowers shows off the trend in the most fashionable way. Completing the look with a pair of heels adds a more feminine touch that’s fitting for this blooming season.

Co-ords are for the seasoned fashionistas who’d dare to dress in everything floral from top to bottom. A flowery mix of prints in a matching two-piece outfit is a sure standout this summer. With an ensemble like this, simple makeup and minimal accessories are the best finishing touches.

Embroidered purse

For a more low-key flower power addition to your outfit, a floral embroidered purse will do the trick. A casual outfit can be brightened up with a bold but understated purse that’s perfect for both day and evening wear. You don’t exactly have to wear a printed piece but to carry one at your arm’s length instead will serve you different.
