Homegrown hotel brand to open in Mactan township next year

EARLIER this month, the savvy team from Savoy Hotel Manila visited Cebu City to introduce a vibrant standard of hotel living that millennials and business travelers have enjoyed ever since the “airport hotel’s” doors opened last June.

But the most exciting part of the visit had to be the revelation of Samantha Manuel, Savoy Hotel Manila Marketing & Communications Manager, that leading developer Megaworld is bringing the homegrown brand to Cebu.

The Savoy Hotel in Cebu is expected to open in Mactan Newtown next year, making it the third under the Savoy brand. The first Savoy Hotel opened in Boracay Newcoast last year, while the second is Savoy Hotel Manila.

The third Savoy Hotel will make a fine addition to the 28.8-hectare massive community called Mactan Newtown, Megaworld’s first township development outside Metro Manila. Since the township features a Cyberpark, leisure amenities, and its own beachfront, the new Savoy Hotel couldn’t be in a more prime location than in Mactan Newtown.

On-the-go Cebuanos who might be curious about the what the Savoy Hotel experience feels like can easily check in at the 12-story Savoy Hotel Manila for business trips, vacations and quick stops.

The chic but functional hotel sits within within the 25-hectare Newport City, just right across Terminal 3 of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport, in Pasay City. Terminal 3 is connected to Newport City via the Runway Manila, an enclosed, air-conditioned 220-meter pedestrian link bridge.

With 684 rooms ranging from 23 to 50 square meters, the hotel offers a respite from this bustling metropolis. Themed co-workingspaces called The Squares, The Poolside, Savoy Cafe and Zabana Bar are just a few of the amenities that make for a more meaningful stay. (NSV)
