WE’RE in for a great treat this 2018 with a ton of movies to catch, and we’re letting you in on 18 movies to watch this year.

Maze Runner: The Death Cure

The sequel to the 2015 film The Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials and the third novel in the series by James Dashner is set to hit the big screen one last time for an epic finale. Thomas, played by Dylan O’Brien leads his group of escaped Gladers into the legendary Last City in order to save their friends. This is their final and most dangerous mission yet, so you wouldn’t want to miss this one.

X-Men: Dark Phoenix

X:Men: Dark Phoenix is a spin-off about Jean Grey and the Phoenix force. Jean begins to develop incredible powers that corrupt and turn her into a Dark Phoenix.

Black Panther

Taking over the big screen this year is Black Panther, also known as T’Challa, the prince of the African nation of Wakanda. Played by Chadwick Boseman, Black Panther was first seen in Captain America: Civil War. He is set to take over the throne after his father’s murder.

A Wrinkle in Time

A film adaptation from the classic 1963 fantasy novel by Madeleine L’Engle, the story revolves around a young girl who finds herself in an interplanetary journey with a schoolmate and her younger brother to find her scientist father, along with a trio of supernatural beings.

The New Mutants

The New Mutants is a spin-off of the X-Men franchise. The New Mutants introduces a new group of teenage mutant superheroes, which include Magik, Wolfsbane, Cannonball and Dr. Cecilia Reyes as mentor for the young superheroes.

Tomb Raider

Alicia Vikander will star in the Lara Croft Reboot this year. Tomb Raider is more of an origin story compared to the Angelina Jolie version. Lara goes on a quest to finally solve the puzzle of her father’s mysterious death. However, this adventure won’t go as smoothly with a lot at stake. Follow Lara Croft’s journey in Tomb Raider in theaters near you.

The Incredibles 2

After 14 years, we’re finally getting a sequel to The Incredibles. This time Mr. Incredible is left at home to take care of their three children while Helen is out saving the world.

Avengers: Infinity War

Marvel will shine once more this year with Avengers: Infinity War. Our favorite avengers and their superhero allies are back and ready to defeat the powerful Thanos before he brings destruction and puts an end to the universe.

Deadpool 2

In this sequel, Deadpool battles ninjas, the yakuza and a pack of aggressive canines as he embarks on a new adventure. This is one of the most highly anticipated upcoming superhero movies starring Ryan Reynolds.

Hotel Transylvannia 3: Summer Vacation

The entire family is out on a vacation on a luxury monster cruise ship while the monsters indulge in all of the shipboard fun the cruise has to offer. The dream vacation then turns into a nightmare when Mavis realizes Drac has fallen for the mysterious captain of the ship, Ericka.

Ocean’s 8

This all-female heist project might just be the movie we’ve all been waiting for. Debbie Ocean along with seven other ladies assemble to pull off the heist of the century at New York City’s star-studded annual Met Gala.

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald

Newt Scamander returns as he takes on Gellert Grindelwald, the dark wizard played by Johnny Depp.

Fifty Shades Freed

Coming in theaters this February is Fifty Shades Freed, the climatic chapter based on the bestselling Fifty Shades series. Will Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele have the happy ending they both wish to live or will new threats jeopardize their relationship? Make sure to catch Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson in their return as Mr. and Mrs. Grey in Fifty Shades Freed.

Mama Mia: Here We Go Again

Set in the magical Greek island of Kalokairi, the film goes back and forth in time to show how relationships forged in the past resonate in the present.

Solo: A Star Wars Story

Solo: A Star Wars Story will take place 10 years prior to Star Wars: Episode IV – New Hope. The film will explore Han Solo and Chewbacca’s adventures before joining the Rebellion, including their early encounter with Lando Calrissian.

Mary Poppins Returns

Mary Poppins re-enters the lives of the Banks family after Michael Banks suffers from a personal loss. Mary Poppins returns with street lamplighter Jack and uses her unique magical skills to help the family rediscover the joy and wonder missing in their lives.

Ant-Man and the Wasp

Ant-Man is back with an urgent mission and must once again put on the suit, but will fight alongside The Wasp as the team works together to uncover secrets from their past.


After his debut in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League, Aquaman will focus on a surface world constantly ravaging the sea and the undersea Atlanteans who are ready to lash out in revolt. Aquaman, played by Jason Momoa, is the king of Atlantis, born half-human as Arthur Curry and half-Atlantean.
