AYALA Center Cebu lit up its Christmas tree designed and created by Cebu’s celebrated furniture designer Vito Selma. Joining him at The Gallery during the tree lighting ceremony were Ayala Malls Head of VisMin Operations Clavel Tongco, Cebu Holdings Inc. President Aniceto “Jun” Bisnar, Teresin Mendezona, Ayala Center Cebu General Manager Bong Dy, and Fashion Council Cebu President Philip Rodriguez. Filling the air with Cebuano artistry, Ayala Center Cebu’s “Traditional Christmas” features holiday decor in the signature geometry-inspired creations of Vito Selma.
Also, for the first time in the Queen City, the spectacular “Symphony of Lights” brings in colors and carols to the delight of mallgoers. Joining Dy, Bisnar and Rodriguez at the ceremonial switching on last Nov. 27 were Mariquita Salimbangon-Yeung and Amparito Lhuillier, Marriott General Manager Patrick Caroll, Cebu City Tourism Commission Chairperson Tetta Baad, Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Tess Chan, Miss Cebu 2015 Wynonah Buot, Cebu’s celebrated furniture designer Vito Selma and Ayala Malls Head of VisMin Operations Clavel Tongco.
The show will run nightly every 30 minutes from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. until Jan. 31, 2016. This audio-visual feast by award-winning lights and sounds director Voltaire De Jesus will make the season even more festive for the Cebuanos. (PR)
