Did you say 50 percent off ?!
WHAT an amazing coincidence it is to be writing about Waterfront’s Uno on my 100th column for Lex In The City!
The Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino remains to be one of the most iconic structures in the city’s skyline and has, for many of us and for many years, been a part of many special occasions in our lives as many of those special occasions were celebrated at Uno.
It has been quite a while since I have been back at the hotel’s flagship restaurant and to be honest, I have come to find a lot of their food selection to be really good.

The Chinese section was complete with dimsum, sushi, fried rice, and sautéed mushrooms. My favorites were the Beef Stir Fry with Ginger and Onions and the intriguing Pork Spareribs with Coffee Sauce. Yeah, I know you want to try that.

They had a delicious Lechon Kawali at the carving station, very crispy, very tasty, and the layering was just divine. It was right beside the grilling section where you can choose from seafood to assorted marinated meats. Make your own noodle dish from western pastas to Pancit Canton.
You’ll wish you had more space for Filipino desserts with English names like the Siakoy which is labeled as Twisted Doughnut in the food card. I love it! Assorted cakes and pastries and ice cream were available for all but the cheesecake lover that I am always went for it first and to my pleasant surprise, the bread pudding was the scene-stealer amongst the desserts that day.

If you think that’s all the good news I have for you, you are utterly mistaken. Make a mental note: MWF, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Because on those days, the lunch and dinner buffet at Uno is 50 percent off!
Now, since your jaws have already dropped, head on to Waterfront and stuff your face with their delicious offerings and start chewing.

What an economical way to celebrate my 100th story! Shoutout to all Lex In The City loyal followers! Here’s to more stories to come! Love you guys!
