TEST drives, freebies and games — it was a jam-packed Saturday at the Peugeot Cebu showroom last Aug. 23, as the dealership opened its doors for the one-day activity, Peugeotfest.
Already on its second run, the event gathered Peugeot owners and car enthusiasts, and gave them the opportunity to test drive the different vehicle models in store, as well as enjoy a selection of refreshments and partake in raffles, family games and social media contests. Special one-day promos were also given to buyers who availed of a unit on that date.
Since the car brand’s introduction in Cebu in 2013, the reception of the local market has been positive, said Peugeot Cebu manager Lowell Belarmino. “We have been growing in terms of sales and acceptance. Durable and economical—(Peugeot provides) value for money cars that match the very discriminating Cebuano market.”
At present Peugeot Cebu carries four models: the sedan type 508, the minivan 5008, the five-seater compact 3008, and the two-door coupe RCZ. The past year the most saleable, according to Belarmino, has been the 3008 and 5008.
“The 3008 because it has the comforts of a sedan and the versatility of an SUV, while the 5008 because of its size that can accommodate large families,” he explained. Belarmino then added that they plan to bring in and introduce the 208, a compact five-door hatchback, by the end of the year.
