Erotica exposed in Box of Little Secrets: X
THE Box of Little Secrets: X launch party and sketch night brought together artists and art enthusiasts at The Chillage. Featuring live sketching sessions participated by 20 artists and live DJs, the event last Feb. 21 mainly uncovered a collection of postcard-sized erotic artworks in a box named Box of Little Secrets: X, a spin-off on The Little Secrets series that highlight the works of local artists curated by StreetKonect.

The limited edition box compilation features 40 artworks of 10 local artists of various mediums, ranging from photography to graphic design.
Artists include Banawe Corvera, a lifestyle photographer; Budoy, an installation and performing artist; Danielle Sea, whose subjects are mostly soft water colored pretty girls; Jan Sunday, who describes her artworks as a reflection of herself and secrets; Jethro Estimo, a digital artist; Kathryn Layno, who has illustrated for companies such as Rittenhouse and DC Entertainment; Lucille Umali, a senior illustrator for an award-winning newspaper in Oman; Niel Quisaba, a digital illustrator who links his works to poetry; Nikka Uminga, whose style is inspired by art nouveau, 1920s flapper and Kalinga tattoos; and Russ Ligtas, who employs autobiography in his artistic process.

The compilation is still available for order at streetkonect.com. Proceeds of the project are directed to the Artists Support and Alliance Program (Asap), which funds exhibits, art collectives, and creative institutions.
StreetKonect is a non-profit organization based in Cebu, Philippines dedicated to research, documentation, development and progression of art, design and street culture. (FSE/With PR)
