Plantation Bay lights up the season

A DANGLE of colorful fairy lights is such a heartwarming sight during the holiday season. In lieu of tree lighting ceremonies, Plantation Bay Resort & Spa welcomed the season by simultaneously turning on all the resort’s Christmas lights at a spectacular beach-themed, and beachside event last Nov. 23.

Some of the highlights that night include Santa’s arrival via glass-bottom kayak and escorted by none other than mermaids, floating lanterns in the lagoon and a stand-up paddle parade with fire dancers. The event also marked the grand launch of Plantation Bay’s 2014 calendar, which features 12 calendar girls, who are all employees of the hotel from different departments.
