Binisaya Film Festival 2014
BE A proud Cebuano with this year’s Binisaya Film Festival showcasing world-class Cebuano films.
Binisaya Film Festival started last 2011 when Keith Deligero, Binisaya Movement founder, pursued the idea of collective screening that taps Cebuano filmmakers in the Visayas.
Aiming to spread the waves of films made by Cebuanos far and wide, Binisaya has elevated the film industry in the region, making the event bigger and better each year.
Film screenings of the Binisaya Film Festival 2014 will be held today and tomorrow at the USC-TC CAFA Theatre. The 10 entrees for the Binisaya short film competition will be screened from 12:30 to 3 p.m., in between screenings of other short films.
Interested viewers can just pay any amount to watch these exemplary Cebuano films.
Also, a screening of works by Asian filmmakers from Nepal, Cambodia, India, Thailand, Indonesia and Taiwan will also take place in the festival.
In cooperation with Motion Pictures Society of Cebu, a 48-hour shootout will also be conducted. The films should have no spoken language or dialogue.
