ANGELES City Mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr. has condemned the killing of a City Hall employee who was found dead in Barangay San Juan, Mexico town on Wednesday, December 29, 2021.

Lazatin has ordered the Angeles City Police Office (Acpo) to conduct a thorough investigation on the death of EJ Antonio Gabriel, who went missing on December 27.

Gabriel was last seen onboard a Toyota Vios with plate number CDJ 7507 along the Megadike Access Road in Porac town.

Lazatin said justice should be served to Gabriel’s family.

The LGBTQ+ members of Angeles City issued a separate statement condemning the killing of Gabriel.

They also called for a probe into the victim’s mysterious death.

Gabriel’s body lies in state at the Pangilinan Memorial Chapel in Angeles City.

Lieutenant Colonel Grace Yerro Naparato of the Mexico Municipal Police Station earlier issued a flash alarm after they found an unidentified male cadaver on Wednesday morning in Barangay San Juan, Mexico town, which bore a resemblance to Gabriel who was reported missing the day before.
