SOME 1,316 employees at the Angeles City Government — 980 permanent, 321 casual, and 15 contractual — received their P6,000 Service Recognition Incentive on December 28, 2021.

Mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr. said this is in recognition of the hard work and service of the employees amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

“Binibigay lamang po natin sa kanila ang nararapat. If not for their service, hindi po natin kakayanin,” Lazatin said.

This is the fifth incentive released for the employees since November, as per Memorandum 1380 ordered by Lazatin.

Among the cash incentives released are the year-end bonus last November 15; P3,000 year-end gratuity of 2,959 Contract of Service employees last December 7; the P6,000 Collective Negotiation Agreement for the 1,316 employees last December 14; and the P5,000 Productivity Enhancement Incentive bonus last December 21, 2021.

Flordeliza Santos, Association of Government Employees for a New Dynamic Angeles City (Agenda) president, thanked the Lazatin administration, on behalf of the City Government workers, for “setting the bar high when it comes to taking care of the employees.”

“Sa ngalan po ng mga empleyado ng city hall, kami po ay nagpapasalamat sa walang humpay na biyaya mula kay Mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr.,” Santos said.

Meanwhile, all City Government employees working in the vaccination team will also get an extra P5,000 cash incentive. (PR)
