Magalang mayor to work for peace and order

MAGALANG Mayor Romulo Pecson has assured his constituents that he will continue implementing programs to maintain peace and order in this first-class agricultural town.
The mayor issued this statement during a joint meeting of the Municipal Peace and Order Council (MPOC) and Municipal Anti Drug Abuse Council (Madac) recently.
“Tuloy-tuloy pa rin po ang mga programa ng ating local na pamahalaan upang lalong mapaigting ang kaayusan at kapayapaan sa ating bayan,” Pecson said.
The town’s situation on peace and order and illegal drugs were discussed during the fourth quarter meeting of the MPOC and Madac.
The Barangay Capability Development Agenda for the 2022 to 2024 were also included in the agenda.
During the meeting, the town’s 27 barangay received certificates of recognition from the Department of the Interior and Local Government for their implementation of the barangay justice system.
Other officials present during the meeting were Municipal Administrator Lyndon Cunanan, Councilor Eller Pecson, Liga ng mga Barangay President June Marimla, police chief Benjamin Gabriel Jr., Business Permit Office head Ricardo David, Disaster office head Ernie Aguilar, Fire bureau chief Captain Shiela Marie Florendo, among others.
