STUDENTS or former students, we can all relate to this: studying can be a challenge. It requires plenty of willpower and motivation, and it is even more difficult when you are studying in a dull and lifeless space. With final exams approaching, check out these six spots where you can study in style and comfort (read: Instagram-worthy). Did I mention some of them also have good food?
A-Space
With its industrial chic interiors, A SPACE has that certain “aesthetic” millennials love. The daily rate is P500 but A SPACE also offers long term space rental, which includes a personal desk with ergonomic chair, lockable storage and use of the pantry & bar. This might as well be a second home.
Abaca Baking Company
If one prefers a more casual yet sophisticated set-up to study, you can never go wrong with the Abaca Baking Company. Upon entering, you’ll be greeted by a sinful display of freshly baked goodies. If you are going to study there until late, might as well take advantage of ABC’s nightly bake sale. Schedules for the sale vary per store.
The Mezzanine Café
Aside from the standard Wi-Fi and power outlets, this newly opened study café takes the concept up a notch higher by adding power nap areas, beanbags, and even free use of office supplies! Rates start at P30 per hour, inclusive of a cup of brewed coffee or iced tea.
Kapel
Treat yourself to a cup of signature Kapel Latté while you are going through your notes. If you ever need a little push: “You got this,” says the glass wall.
Bintana Coffee House
Tucked along a discreet road, Bintana is definitely for those who prefer something off the beaten path. This well-kept “secret” showcases art pieces by local artists so take a gander from time to time and refresh your eyes from all those words and numbers you’ve been memorizing.
Workplace Café
For only P35 per hour, one can do some research and reading with free flowing coffee and iced tea to keep you alive and hydrated while studying. Feel free to take a five-minute snooze in one of the beanbags. Just don’t forget to wake up and do what you are supposed to do — study.
Yolk – Coffee and Breakfast
Hit the books while enjoying delicious breakfast food in an equally cozy setting. You might want to snack on Goodness in a Jar — a mix of granola, peanut butter, bananas and yogurt. This healthy concoction will keep you energized for the busy day of studying and tests ahead!
Page Study Cafe
This study cafe’s punchy yellow interiors (study desks included) just screams “YOU BETTER STUDY!” Not really but you get what I mean.
