HONG Kong is one of those places that always draws the traveler back. Whether it’s for food, culture, heritage, the arts and architecture, friends and families always find a reason to fly to Hong Kong.

As a lifestyle destination, Hong Kong offers top-notch accommodations that make for a perfect stay. Media practitioners from Cebu and Davao recently got a glimpse of the latest that the hotel industry in Hong Kong has to offer when executives of Marco Polo Hotels-Hong Kong hosted dinner at the Blu Bar & Grill of Marco Polo Plaza Cebu.

Highlighting the importance of understanding their valued hotel guests, Director of Communications Samantha Poon and Assistant Communications Manager Angel Wong announced several new happenings of the three Marco Polo hotels in Hong Kong.

Poon and Wong said one of their landmark hotels, the iconic Marco Polo Hong Kong Hotel, recently completed an extensive upgrade to its building facade as part of continued quality improvements.

Situated in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui in Kowloon along the legendary Canton Road, Marco Polo Hong Kong Hotel is an iconic favorite for many Hong Kong-based families and a preferred destination for business and leisure travelers, offering fantastic views of one of the world’s most recognized skylines.

In a press statement, General Manager Thomas Salg explained the upgrade is in line with their dedication to enrich their product and service based on exemplary standards so they can provide each guest with memorable stays and experiences.

“A fresh new look allows for our hotel, one that holds fond memories for so many, to shine like a jewel on Hong Kong’s harbourfront. Not only do the rooms overlook the stunning Victoria Harbour and beyond, but the restaurants also hold great memories for many of Hong Kong’s multi-generational families,” said Salg.

Also located on the bustling Canton Road, Gateway Hotel is set to unveil a new Continental Club floor on the hotel’s uppermost level. Located on the 17th Floor, 21 newly appointed guestrooms and suites with sophisticated and sleek designs offer stunning city views over bustling Canton Road, showcasing Hong Kong’s dramatic skyline. The improvement further builds on the hotel’s award-winning design transformation that initially commenced in 2011.

The upgrades come at the heels of the hotel group’s resounding wins at the recent annual Hong Kong Management Association’s Quality Award, one of the most prestigious business awards in Hong Kong.

Marco Polo Hongkong Hotel, Gateway Hotel and Prince Hotel won the Merit Award at the 2017 HKMA Quality Award ceremony held last July 21. On the same day, the iconic Marco Polo German Bierfest also garnered the Gold Award for ‘Best Outdoor Events: Arts, Leisure and Entertainment’ at The Marketing Events Award 2017 organised by Marketing Magazine. The Bierfest, which kicked off last Oct. 20, will run until November 11.

Marco Polo Hotels – Hong Kong, which also saw the appointment of Vanessa Kong as Director of Sales & Marketing, looks forward to more exemplary developments for the three Marco Polo hotels in Hong Kong that form part of the vibrant Harbour City, namely Marco Polo Hongkong Hotel, Gateway Hotel and Prince Hotel.
