MOST people dread Mondays while everybody just loves the weekend, and for good reason. The weekend is usually synonymous to taking a break, eating out, and bonding with family and friends.

This is basically what The Weekend at The Gallery is all about. The ground floor is nicely designed to accommodate family and groups who would like to enjoy a satisfying meal.

The Fat Bastard, their best seller, is the most tender, thick-cut pork chop that is dry rubbed and then grilled. And in times when you just feel more indulgent, try the Weekend Rib-Eye. It’s just perfect!

And speaking of perfect, everything on the menu are Jan Rodriguez’s favorites. He’s taken each one of them and made them the best he could ever possibly create and put them all on the menu. Now that’s an assurance of satisfaction coming from a guy who is obsessed with quality and service as can be seen at Ila Puti, his brain child known for its simple beginnings and famed now for its remarkable success, and of course its Stroganoff!

The Weekend Feast!

The second level of The Weekend is designed to impress. It’s a beautifully furnished, cozy, speak-easy taproom that boasts Cebu’s first 16-tap nitro draft system. Cebu Brewing Co. and Turning Wheels, two of Cebu’s best craft breweries, will be pouring from these taps whose kegs are stored in a walk-in chiller just behind the bar, maintaining the right temperature for ales.

Still not impressed? On top of their well-stocked bar you will also find a carefully curated collection of gin, whisky, and mezcal. Jan Rodriguez shares that the al fresco area on its ground level will soon be an urban sunset lounge. Perfect as it looks out to the sprawling greens at The Greenery’s back yard that is conveniently facing the west, creating a spectacular view when the horizon turns orange at sundown.

No need to wait for the weekend, The Weekend is open every day. It is a place where good food is made extra special and drinks are treated and served the way they should be.

And since it’s Mother’s Day today, ask yourself if you’ve been treating your own mom right. It’s our time to return the favor after all the love and care we’ve received from them and all the hard work and sacrifices they had to endure just for us. No need to wait for Mother’s Day to tell her she is loved and appreciated. Say it every day.
