Chickenvasion!

Cebu is under attack! But in a welcome way, actually. A number of restaurants have sprouted all over the metropolis, and many of these culinary invaders are roasted chicken outlets. Perhaps this has somethig to do with 2017 being the Year of the Fire Rooster, but more choices for Cebuanos and guests is always good news. Here are three must-try new roasted chicken places in Cebu:

Peri-Peri Charcoal Chicken

The newly opened branch in Mandaue City is the homegrown brand’s 12th restaurant in the country. Its growing popularity has much to do with its juicy roasted chicken’s distinct Portuguese and African flavors paired with eight signature sauces. Named after the African Bird’s Eye Chili, Peri-Peri Charcoal Chicken has an extensive menu, perfect for casual dining for family and friends.

Price range: P140 (for a quarter chicken) up

Must try: A serving of chicken and the sauces

Dripping with natural juices, Aida’s succulent chicken barbecue is to die for, but the rest in the menu are likely to induce cravings. And don’t forget to drizzle your plate with chicken oil.
