Paluto All You Can
WHEN it’s seafood you want, it’s seafood you get at the Seafood City restaurant at the Grand Convention Center. It gets even better in the month of October when you can paluto all the seafood that you want until the end of the month!
Except for a short list of premium seafood, everything on the menu is part of their paluto all you can promo.
Our delicious dinner started with the Steamed Live Suahe Soy Sauce, one of my all-time favorites. How can you go wrong when it comes to eating the freshest catch?
The Baked Oysters came next and I could have devoured the entire plate if I wasn’t being considerate of the others in my table.
I’ve always wondered how a simple Tinola Tangigue Soup dish can be so extraordinarily delicious. Well, it is seafood — and seafood is their specialty.
The Fried Fish Grouper in Sweet and Sour Sauce was very good. The crunchy, deep-fried fish went very well with the tanginess of the bright orange sweet and sour sauce.
The Squid Adobo was not as black as I am used to, but the delicious sauce was the perfect combination to the tender squid. Extra rice please!
The Mud Crabs with Salt and Pepper was one of my two favorites of the night (the other one was the Rock Lobsters in Lemon Sauce — TDF!). I was praying to God to keep me alive while I was cleaning up all the crab shells of the crab fat. I was such a happy camper working on the entire platter almost all by myself, of course using my bare hands!
We also had some delicious vegetables in oyster sauce and some grilled pork belly. Both plates were barely touched in the presence of seafood, glorious seafood on our table.
Our meal ended with a beautiful plate of sliced apples, mangoes, and pineapples. It was just perfect!
