Walk Among Stars at Bluewater Maribago

NOW on its fourth year of celebration, Bluewater Maribago Beach Resort’s Annual Parol Lighting Festival and Christmas Benefit Dinner event titled, “Walk Among Stars” features the Balay Parol (House of Lanterns), which exhibits a remarkable array of star lanterns dangling at a star-shaped bamboo structure, and the Balay Pasko, where the resort highlights the best of the holiday’s sweet treats and other special offerings.

Erik Monsanto, Marketing Manager of Blue Water Resorts, said they are trying to showcase traditional culture to promote Filipino Christmas. The parol lighting ceremony took place last Nov. 21 led by Lapu-Lapu City Mayor Paz Radaza, the Allegrado family who owns the resort, Corporate Finance and Operations Manager Dominiku Ugarte, and General Manager Rhyz Buac. Guest star Matteo Guidicelli lit up the event further with his special performances, followed by the exceptional recital of Canjulao Ukulele Ensemble.

Part of the proceeds of the Parol Lighting and Benefit Dinner at P1,300 per person will benefit schools and organizations in Cebu, including Buyong Elementary School, Hospicio de San Jose, Task Force Kalikasan, and the House of the Orphans in Cordova.
