Cebu welcomes 5 FamilyMart stores

FAMILYMART, a Japanese convenience store brand popular for their ready-to-eat dishes such as rice balls and boxed lunches, recently launched five stores in Cebu at the IT Park in Lahug.

With its trademark design, service standards, cafe-like interiors and clean restrooms, FamilyMart is expected to become a favorite among Cebuanos looking for a quick bite within a safe, clean and attractive environment.

“We are happy to be part of the family and very excited to give residence of Cebu the most well-thought-of convenience store experience with quality offerings coupled with cozy interiors and a dedicated and passionate service team,” said Allen Arvin Tan President and Managing Director of Family Table Inc. during the grand launch at the IT Park events area last July 31.

The five stores in Cebu that were simultaneously launched are located in Arc One Capitol Square on Escario St., Streetscape on Maria Luisa Road, Banilad, and eBloc Towers 1, 2 and 3 in Cebu IT Park.

“The launch of our Cebu stores means we get to serve more Filipinos looking for a different experience when going to a convenience store. Aside from unique offerrings, we want to offer an experiential process that elevates it to something more,” said Eduardo Paredes Jr., PFM General Manager.

The first Japanese-owned convenience store chain to go global, FamilyMart operates over 16,000 stores in many countries, including the Philippines, which now has more than 100 stores since the first one opened in 2013. The name “FamilyMart” signifies the familial relationship that values support and growth among its customers, employees and stakeholders and was established in 1973.

In the Philippines, FamilyMart is operated by FamilyMart CVS, Inc., a joint venture between leading specialty store retailer SSI Group Inc., property titan Ayala Land Inc., Japan FamilyMart and one of Japan’s largest conglomerates Itochu Corporation.
