A Nune Alvarado exhibit at the Qube Gallery
UBE Gallery staged an art exhibition presenting the works of famous Negrense artist, Nune Alvarado, from April 22 to May 17.
Fondly known in the art community as Nune, the artist himself attended the cocktail night, where he was joined by fellow artists and art enthusiasts from Cebu society, in opening his impressive month-long show.
Nune is one of the established social realists in Philippine contemporary art, and has been in the craft for more than four decades. He is known for imagery that echoes his stance on social issues and his series of face diaries that depict an individual’s interplay of emotions.
