Marco Polo hosts Sugbusog 2015: Pagkaong Inato
MARCO Polo Plaza celebrated the Sinulog season with a gastronomic fiesta featuring the best of Cebuano cuisine, from tabletop classics to side street staples. It kicked off the hotel’s Culinary Journey series for the year, and it was aptly called Sugbusog 2015: Pagkaong Inato — borrowing the famous colloquial greeting to fiesta banquets.
The weeklong celebration was launched last Jan. 9 in an exclusive gathering in which guests were treated to an evening of songs and dances, performed by Visayan songwriter Max Surban and Val Sandiego Dance Company, respectively. Guests also enjoyed the mini pop-up displays of a sari-sari store and street vendors, from which they “shopped” for a basket full of treats to take home. (FSE)
