Bo’s Coffee recently unveiled “Origins: A Travel Journal, a travel companion that will bring you back to the origins of every fresh cup of Bo’s brew: Sagada, Benguet, Mt. Matutum, Mt. Kitanglad and Mt. Apo. Different social enterprises have partnered with the coffee firm to showcase the creativity and diversity of local talents, as well as highlight what beauty Philippine culture can offer.

“’Origins: A Travel Journal’ is our way of honoring all things homegrown, said Bo’s national chief operations manager Ivy Benatiro during the launch last Nov. 22. “More than promoting local products and talent, we created this in order to help people discover or rediscover places and stories that have always been there.”

Benatiro said they want to be a platform where everyone would know about the Philippines and “come home” to where it all started.

The beautifully designed journal, which has a handsome reusable leather jacket and “utilizes hand-woven fabric from Cebu-based social enterprise Anthill Fabric Gallery,” is in itself a journey that everyone is welcome to take. With its wonderful prose and graphics, the journal is bound to encourage the owner to travel and explore more of the Philippines.

Since it’s a “travel journal”, Bo’s Coffee CEO Steve Benitez and his partners decided to put challenges inside. They’ve selected 12 Bo’s Coffee branches all over the Philippines and gave a challenge for each branch. A reward is patiently waiting for those who complete the challenge.

Also attached inside are coupons and freebies from Trail Adventurous, Culture Shock PH, Route +63, FlipTrip, Kawil Tours, Gouache, Bambike, Anthill Fabric Gallery, Risque Designs, Nipa Foods, Habi Footwear, Gugu, 22 Tango Records, Gawad Kalinga – Enchanted Farm, Friggies, Olivia and Diego.

With “Origins: A Travel Journal” in hand, share Bo’s advocacy of promoting the Philippines, explore more of the country’s roads, and make a homegrown difference.
