School launches new programs
“THERE are no pre-requisites, all you need is passion.” This is the driving philosophy behind the UV New School of Art and Design (UVNS), which revealed its new programs on offer last Aug. 20.
“UVNS is the revolution of a new kind of education. It uses industry-standard Apple computers, no minor subjects, no grades, and world-class mentors gathered from different fields in the industry,” said Genesis Raña, UVNS director and founder.
Majority of the programs offered are “the only ones” in the entire country, such as Production Design, Photography, Visual Design, Animation, Social Advertising, Web Design for Marketing, Communication Design, Music Design and Production, Photography, and Fashion Immersion. UVNS also presented its newest programs, which include Make-Up Design, Interior/Space Design, Tourism Design + Branding, and Start-up Academy.
The press launch was attended by some of its program directors and mentors, such as John Delfino, Philmore Amodia, Jonji Gonzales, Khalil Corazo, Kaloy Uypuangco, Nikki Montesclaros, Ian Zafra, Christine Cueto, Dexter Alazas, Leonardo Igloria, Mia Arcenas, and Jessie Glova.
